Nephilim in Genesis
Genesis 6:1-4 mentions that the Nephilim were creatures that existed before the Deluge. They represented an important segment of the Earth and were supposedly the daughters of men. The Nephilim are mentioned in the Hebrew bible and many interpretations are gleaned from that. The offspring may be referred to as fallen angels and offspring of fallen men themselves. They are not counted among the angels of Heaven. They were damned to walk the Earth and men would encounter them on occasion. That demonstrated the true gravity of the Fall of Man from Genesis. The expulsion of mankind from the Garden of Eden had produced a profound effect on the Earth. Nephilim in Numbers Numbers 13:33 makes further mention of the creatures called Nephilim. They inhabited the area of Canaan before the Israelite forces conquered the area. In fact, the Israelite forces actually encountered the creatures when they conquered Canaan. Conquest of Canaan also required the expulsion of these offspring demons from the region. That area was cleansed and a new era of mankind seemed to emerge. But the looming threat of the creatures was always an ever present threat to them. Israel would forever remember the influence of these offspring too. Lucifer and the Nephilim Lucifer seems to recognize these offspring and may use them from time to time. The creatures were once angelic and children of the Heavens. But during the fall of man, they mingled with the children of Cain. Their offspring would ultimately produce a race of monsters feared by mankind. The children of Cain would forever tarnish the world until after the Deluge. That influenced the world and changed perspectives on the experience of mankind. Man no longer saw the world as his own anymore. It was arguably the domain of these creatures claimed by Lucifer. That was a significant blow to the progress of Man during the Deluge era. Nephilim in Hell and the Deluge Hell has seen a rise of the offspring known as Nephilim. They are cast out of paradise, doomed to walk the Earth just like mankind will be in time. But their large size and monstrous appearance has made them an important figure in time. Hell has seen more numbers of the creatures go on the rise recently. That has bolstered the legions of Hell and added some diversity in good time as well. Lucifer is pleased with the change of pace that the creatures introduce. These monstrosities are a significant challenge to the Earth and Hell is very pleased with that change. Nephilim are feared by men and Moses makes mention of that during his time. The era before the Deluge included a lot of fearsome foes for mankind to encounter. Biblical era men would encounter these creatures and take note of their great size. They mentioned that men would seem like grasshoppers in size compared to these offspring of Cain. Their large size would catch men off guard and put fear in them. Genesis 6:2 states that so called "Angels" actually fathered the race. But the offspring quickly lost their way in the world before the Deluge takes place. Mythology from other cultures will make mention of these offspring from time to time. Some say that Orion may have been the father of the original offspring. Both Orion and the creatures are mentioned by certain folklore tales in the world. Sumerian mythology also makes mention of creatures bearing a similar name. These creatures were actually considered to be heroes in the folklore of the culture. Sumerian mythology paints a good picture of the offspring on Earth. Similarly, the creatures go forward in a world before the Great Flood takes place on Earth. Nephilim in Modern Times Recently, new media sources have also made mention of the offspring. The creatures make an appearance in TV episodes of the X-files and Supernatural. The video game Darksiders will also showcase the creatures along the way. Typically, the media will paint the creatures as dark and dangerous for a number of reasons. They are typically the antagonists in a series that is carefully concocted. These media sources actually mention that the offspring were unholy right from the start. They are the product of a forbidden union between angels and demons. That makes for a dramatic retelling of the offspring mentioned in the bible too. Friend, this is very misguided and un-biblical. For example, Num 13:3 was stated by unfaithful/disloyal spies who were said to present an evil/bad report for which they were rebuked, wherein they made three claims about which the whole rest of the Bible knows nothing and who contradicted Moses, Caleb, Joshua and God. Also, if you saw beings in comparison to whom you were like a grasshopper, would the first thing you say when you returned to camp be “HEY!!! Check out these grapes”?
